Cat & Rhy's wedding was fun, quirky & chilled out, very much like Cat & Rhys themselves! Cat opted for a pair of white converse trainers instead of traditional wedding shoes. That's how chilled these guys are. While I photographed the girls getting ready, Luke headed to the lads for some bacon butties with The Lego movie on in the background. The ceremony wasn't short of emotion and a good few giggles (especially when the father of the bride forgot his cue!)
Cat & Rhys were keen to keep their group shots as easy as possible and wanted to have them taken outside the church (the church is an old BT compound in the middle of a large car park...) So we had to get creative and decided to bring the archway from the ceremony outside and you'd never know we were in a car park!
Afterwards we whisked them off to Tredegar House to get some photos of just the two of them to celebrate their first moments as husband and wife. Cat made us laugh with her shyness in front of the camera and her school-girl giggles when Rhys tried to kiss her. Needless to say we had a lot of fun breaking her guard down for the photographs!
After a tasty buffet by the Christchurch Centre caterers, we all got a bit weepy over the touching speeches before drying our eyes and embracing the party atmosphere when the DJ arrived. One of the groomsmen took it upon himself to become the kids entertainer for the rest of evening and done a great job of getting the kids dancing and laughing together and before long the adults joined in the fun.
A sparkler exit was a perfect end to a such a memorable day. Cat & Rhys, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day. We absolutely loved it.
